Premier League Betting Tips: Can Wolves & Sheffield Utd continue their European push?
Odds and preview for tonight’s top-flight games
There’s only one week of the Premier League season remaining now. And with three fixtures to enjoy tonight, the battle for European places takes centre-stage.
Sheffield United and Wolves have both had very impressive campaigns. Will their good work be undone in the final week? They’ll be looking for wins against Everton and Crystal Palace respectively to close in on Europa League qualification.
Brighton & Hove Albion also face Newcastle United, knowing that one point will cement their Premier League status. Ahead of the action, we’ve looked over the odds for each of tonight’s games.
Sheffield United v Everton (18:00)
After a poor showing against Leicester City last time out, Sheffield United are Evens to respond with a win over Everton. Chris Wilder’s side need six points from their final two games to have a shot of qualifying for Europe.
The Toffees are four games without a win and seem to be drifting towards the break – the visitors are at 27/10, while our traders have the draw at 21/10.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have only scored once on the road since the restart. We go 9/4 for a Sheffield United win to nil.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Newcastle United (18:00)
Brighton are virtually safe now, but one more point from their remaining two fixtures will make it certain. Under those circumstances, they’ll be glad to be facing Newcastle tonight – they’ve not lost any of their five Premier League meetings against the Magpies.
We’ve got the Seagulls as 20/23 favourites here. Newcastle find themselves out at 16/5, having lost three in a row and with little to play for. The draw is going for 12/5.
Of those five previous top-flight meetings, only one of them has seen both sides score. You can get BTTS – No for 10/11.
Neal Maupay leads the way in the Goalscorer markets, at 7/2 to score first or 7/5 anytime. Glenn Murray is 17/10 to net, with Dwight Gayle the visitor’s likeliest scorer at 3/1.
Wolves v Crystal Palace (20:15)
The Champions League now looks out of reach for Wolves, but if they win both of their remaining games and other results go their way, they could finish as high as fifth.
They’ll fancy their chances against a Palace side that have lost their last six league outings. The Eagles have also failed to score in five of those defeats. Wolves are clear 1/2 favourites, while 21/20 says the hosts win to nil. Palace are back at 7/1.
Raul Jimenez is 13/5 to net first or 21/20 anytime. With Patrick van Aanholt out, Adama Traore could find plenty of joy on the right too – the winger is 5/2 to net at any point.
