Nottingham Forest v Tottenham betting tips: Kane able to rock Reds
Nottingham Forest v Tottenham betting tips, preview and odds
Nottingham Forest have made a solid start to life back in the Premier League but face a tough test against in-form Tottenham.
Forest won their first home game on their return to the top flight but are understandably 6/1 outsiders to win their second.
Sunday’s match kicks off at 4.30pm and is live on Sky Sports as we pick out some Nottingham Forest v Tottenham betting tips.
All change for Forest
The promoted side took their tally to a respectable four points from three matches with a 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
Steve Cooper’s men appeared set for their second win of the season before Demarai Gray’s 88th-minute equaliser meant they had to settle for a point.
“I’m proud of the team for how we played and the growth we have shown but at the same time disappointed we haven’t won. I saw a lot of good things today.” 🗣

Cooper said: “We should have won. I thought we were the better team.
“We were good for going 1-0 up, so to concede in the way we did is disappointing. It is a disappointed dressing room, we feel like it’s a missed opportunity.”
Forest’s overhaul of their squad has been one of the talking points of the summer, with the big-money capture of Morgan Gibbs-White taking their total number of incomings to 16.
Cooper added: “Quite rightly I get asked every week by people about the amount of players coming in and I completely understand that. It’s the right question to ask.
“But we had no alternative. It was inevitable. We were getting prepared for it for a long while and we’re still in that process.”
Johnson has remained a key figure for Forest despite the raft of new arrivals, starring in victory over West Ham – where he had a goal ruled out – before netting their goal against Everton.
The Wales international is 7/2 to find the net at any time against Spurs.
Tottenham on the charge
Antonio Conte has got Tottenham firing, with the north London giants sitting on seven points after three matches.
A commanding 4-1 win over Southampton was backed up by a battling point at Chelsea in a fiercely-contested derby before Spurs edged to a 1-0 win over Wolves despite being second best for much of the match.
Those three games have showcased that Conte’s men have different ways to get the result and the Italian, who has strengthened his squad this summer, will believe they can improve on last season’s fourth-placed Premier League finish.
England captain Harry Kane scored his 185th league goal – the most by a player for one club – to earn victory over Wolves.
Very proud to have broken @aguerosergiokun’s record of the most @premierleague goals for one club. Goes without saying that I couldn’t have done it without some amazing staff and teammates and unreal support along the way. I’m not done yet 💪 pic.twitter.com/bcFXdrLOAw

“I have to be very clear. In my opinion last season this type of game, you weren’t so prepared to find this difficulty and probably this type of game you’re going to lose at the end,” Conte said.
“In fact last season we lost at home against Southampton, at home against Wolverhampton and against Chelsea. Now against these three teams, I was really worried when I saw the schedule.
“Instead to get seven points showed that this team is improving in many aspects.”
Tottenham appear to have goals in their side this season, with their attacking trio of Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski complemented by the capture of Richarlison, who has yet to start this season.
Spurs squandered a number of chances against Wolves, in particular through Son, and will fancy their chances at the City Ground.
Tottenham to win and over 3.5 goals in the match is available at 27/10, with Conte’s side 13/5 to win both halves.
Nottingham Forest v Tottenham meetings
Due to Forest’s 23-year exodus from the top flight, this will be the first league meeting between the two sides since 1999.
Their last match in any competition was a 3-1 League Cup win for Tottenham in 2014.
Kane scored the third in that match and is 10/11 to net for the third Premier League game running while he is 4/1 to net a brace or more.
Son shared the golden boot last season with 23 goals but has been frustrated so far this campaign and is yet to find the mark. He is 23/20 to end that run.
