Sheffield United remain favourite for Premier League relegation

After a convincing 4-0 win over Crystal Palace, Manchester City’s odds in this season’s Premier League title race have been cut to 4/7.

The Cityzens retain their status as favourites to take the title from Liverpool, with Pep Guardiola’s side in second place, two points off top with a game in hand.

Despite being three points off top, Liverpool are 7/2 second favourites to retain the title, while front-runners Manchester United are 7/1 following their goalless draw against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Tottenham, Leicester and Chelsea all won their matches over the weekend, and are now 20/1, 28/1 and 50/1 to win the league respectively.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Manchester City were already odds on in our book to win the Premier League this season and the weekend’s action has seen us cut the odds even further. They are now as short as 4/7 to win the title this year.”

Sheffield United slumped to another defeat and remain the 1/25 odds-on favourites to drop down to the Championship. Despite their 3-2 win against Wolves, West Brom are 1/4 to get relegated, while Fulham are 4/5 after a narrow 1-0 defeat against Chelsea.

“West Brom remain odds-on to be relegated despite their victory, whilst Sheffield United’s already forlorn hopes took another hit and they are now 1/25 for the drop,” added Aitkenhead.
