Manchester City are leading the race to sign Barcelona captain Lionel Messi, according to our latest odds.

Messi has informed Barcelona he wants to leave the club, which is set to spark a scramble for his signature. City are 5/2 to sign the Argentine ace, which would see him link up with Pep Guardiola again.

Inter Milan are next in the betting at 3/1, with Manchester United a 6/1 shot and there’s 7/1 about a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

“Lionel Messi had so much success working under Pep Guardiola at Barcelona and our betting suggests he could be reunited with his former boss at Manchester City,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Manchester United are the biggest movers in our betting since Messi handed in his transfer request so it looks like the two Manchester clubs are both in the race to secure the Argentine magician,” added Hill.
