England captain evens to leave Spurs for Red Devils

The ending to the 2019/20 Premier League season may still be up in the air, but it’s looking increasingly likely that it’s the final campaign we see Harry Kane in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.

The England captain has been priced at evens to head to Manchester United during the next transfer window.

During an open and honest Instagram Live chat with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp on Sunday afternoon, Kane spoke on his frustrations at failing to win a trophy at the North London club so far, admitting he is prepared to leave if the team does not progress.

In the interview, when Kane was asked whether he could rule out ever leaving Spurs, he said: “Obviously I get asked this question a lot. It’s one of those things – I couldn’t say yes and I couldn’t say no”.

Kane continued with: “I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs but I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I’m not someone to stay there for the sake of it.

“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, get better and become one of the top, top players. It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever bit it’s not a no either.”

Despite United being favourites, Real Madrid are next in the betting at 3/1, with Juventus at 4/1, Manchester City at 5/1 and Barcelona in the running at 6/1.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Harry Kane has refused to rule out a move away from Tottenham in the near future and that has prompted a flurry of bets on the England captain joining Manchester United.”
