Chelsea v Norwich betting tips: Blues out to silence Canaries
Preview and odds for Saturday’s Premier League clash
It is top against bottom in the Premier League as the European champions host the Canaries and we take a look at the odds to find some Chelsea v Norwich betting tips.
Chelsea head the Premier League after winning 1-0 at Brentford last weekend while Norwich picked up only their second point of the season when holding Brighton to a goalless draw at Carrow Road.
Saturday’s match, which takes place at Stamford Bridge, kicks off at 12.30pm and is live on BT Sport 1.
Chelsea v Norwich match odds
Thomas Tuchel’s tenure at Chelsea has been marked by stout defensive performances.
They have found ways of winning tricky games on the road, as they did at Brentford last weekend, and have been entertaining going forward.
But their home victories against Aston Villa (3-0) and Southampton (3-1) were not as comfortable as the scorelines would suggest, however, and with games coming thick and fast, it would not be a great surprise to see the Blues dip in form through fatigue.
However, their only defeat in the Premier League came at home to champions Manchester City and no side has conceded fewer goals than Chelsea in the Premier League this season (three) while Norwich have the worst attack (two goals scored). The Blues are 1/6 to beat Norwich.
Since Wolves beat Manchester United 2-1 back in February 2011, the side starting the day bottom of the Premier League table has lost 11 of the last 12 clashes with the team at the top (D1), including seven of the last eight without scoring a goal.
Chelsea, themselves, have beaten the side bottom of the table more often than any other team since the competition was formed in 1992 (42).
Norwich, who are 18/1 to win, have lost each of their last 10 Premier League matches in London and are winless in their last 16 top-flight away games (D3 L13), netting just four goals in that run.
There have been five draws in the last 17 meetings in all competitions – and each of those stalemates have ended 0-0. It is 13/2 the game is drawn and 16/1 it is goalless.

Chelsea v Norwich head-to-head
Chelsea have won 10 of their last 12 Premier League games against Norwich (D2), last losing against the Canaries in the top flight back in December 1994.
After winning their first two Premier League away games against Chelsea in 1992-93 and 1993-94, Norwich have taken just one point from their subsequent seven trips to Stamford Bridge (D1 L6) and it is 9/2 they either win or draw the game on the Double Chance market.
Chelsea v Norwich key battles
The Canaries are without a goal in their last 10 hours and 26 minutes of play on the road in the competition, since Emi Buendia netted against Watford in July 2020.
Teemu Pukki has scored both their goals this term and is 4/1 to net at any time and 12/1 to grab the first goal.
Norwich have scored on three of their last 10 visits to Stamford Bridge and it is 29/20 they notch at least once.
They will, however, bid to record three successive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since November 2012, the third game of which was a 1-0 win over leaders Manchester United.
Norwich are 11/1 to prevent Chelsea from scoring.
