Burnley v Norwich betting tips: Clarets bid to end home woe
Preview and odds for Saturday’s Premier League clash
The bottom two in the Premier League seek their first win of the season and they meet on Saturday, so we look at the odds to find some Burnley v Norwich betting tips.
The Clarets have managed to earn two points from six games, while Norwich have endured a torrid return to the top flight and lost all six contests.
Saturday’s match, which takes place at Turf Moor, kicks off at 3pm.
Burnley v Norwich match odds
Burnley have been a little unfortunate so far this season in the Premier League. Narrow defeats by Brighton, Liverpool and Arsenal aside, Sean Dyche’s men have held their own.
They have picked up points at home to Leeds and last week at Leicester, where what looked like a late winner from Chris Wood (pictured above) was ruled out.
Burnley are 10/11 to defeat Norwich, although the Clarets are winless in their last nine league games (D2 L7), their longest such streak since a run of 10 between April and September 2018.
They also are without a win in 13 consecutive home games. Even against promoted sides, Burnley are winless in their last five league games at Turf Moor since beating Norwich 2-0 in September 2019.
Norwich hope to avoid the ignominy of becoming only the sixth side in top-flight history to lose their first seven games, joining Liverpool, Bolton, Manchester United, Portsmouth and Crystal Palace on that naughty list.
The Canaries have scored just two goals and conceded 16 following their 2-0 defeat at Everton last weekend.
Daniel Farke’s side are 16/5 to win, while the draw is available at 13/5.
Though none of their previous 43 meetings have ended in a 0-0 draw, it is 10/1 that this particular streak is broken.
🗣 "I think our performance was quite good. It's just these small margins and I believe if we keep working like we do, we'll turn this around together."

Burnley v Norwich head-to-head
Historically, this is not a good spot for Norwich to break their losing streak. The Canaries have won just two of their 22 away games against Burnley (D4 L16), losing each of the last six in a row in the league since a 5-3 victory in April 2004.
However, they did win on their last visit – a 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round success in January 2020.
Burnley have never failed to score in their 18 home league games against Norwich and it is 23/10 that they win to nil, while the odds for the hosts to score the first goal are 4/6 in the Burnley v Norwich betting tips.
Five of the last seven meetings saw both sides score and it is 8/11 that they do so on this occasion.
Burnley v Norwich key battles
Burnley have dropped more points from winning positions than any other side in the Premier League this season (10) and Dyche will be concerned by their failure to close out games. The Clarets are 11/1 to lead at half-time but fail to win.
However, Norwich are the only side yet to take the lead in any of their Premier League games and it is 8/5 for that streak to end.
Norwich will fear Wood. The striker has scored five goals in four league starts against the Canaries and is 21/20 to score at any stage and 5/1 to score two or more.
