Preview and odds for Sunday’s Premier League match
Burnley and Leeds are still seeking their first victory of the Premier League season and the pair clash at Turf Moor on Sunday, so we have looked at the odds to find some Burnley v Leeds betting tips.
Both the Clarets and the Whites have conceded at least two goals in each of their opening games but the Yorkshire club did the double over their opponents last term.
Sunday’s match, which takes place at Turf Moor, kicks off at 2pm BST and is live on BT Sport 1.
Burnley v Leeds match odds
Burnley are in something of a rut at home and are 2/1 underdogs to beat Leeds.
Sean Dyche’s side have lost each of their last five Premier League games at Turf Moor – and they have only suffered a longer run of home league losses once in their history (seven in February 1890).
They opened their season with a 2-1 home defeat by Brighton and then, despite playing well, were worn down at Anfield in losing 2-0 to Liverpool.
Leeds recovered from a 5-1 opening-day thrashing at the hands of Manchester United, showing great character to twice come from behind and earn a point at home to Everton last week with goals from Mateusz Klich and Raphinha.
They also received a confidence boost in midweek with a 3-0 success over Crewe in the League Cup second round.
Leeds are 27/20 to win the game, which invariably sees a positive result.
Just one of the last 22 league meetings between Burnley and Leeds has finished level (1-1 in August 2015), with Leeds winning 15 of these to Burnley’s six. The draw is available at 5/2.
Furthermore, Leeds haven’t drawn a game away from home in the Premier League since February 2004 (1-1 v Manchester United).
In 20 away games in the league under manager Marcelo Bielsa (pictured below), they have won 10 and lost the other 10.
Leeds are 7/10 to win in the Draw No Bet market in the Burnley v Leeds betting tips.

Burnley v Leeds head-to-head
Last season’s meeting at Turf Moor saw Leeds win 4-0, yet Burnley had won the previous three league meetings at home against the Whites.
The sides have met 62 times since 1924 and Burnley have won 18 of those contests, with Leeds winning 32. Leeds are 2/5 to win or draw the game in the Double Chance market.
Since the start of last season, Leeds’ Premier League games have seen more goals than any other side in the competition (126), with the Whites netting 65 and conceding 61.
Goals have been a problem for Burnley, however.
They have managed just 15 at home since the start of last season (from 20 games). It is 29/10 for Leeds to win but concede and 7/2 they win to nil in the Burnley v Leeds betting tips.
Burnley have lost 16 of the last 24 meetings in all competitions (W5 D3) and have managed to score first in two of the last eight so Leeds are 20/23 to grab the first goal.
Key battles
Burnley’s problem has been scoring goals and even their solitary strike – against Brighton – this season looked a controversial one as James Tarkowski appeared to barge Neal Maupay out of the way before heading home.
Dyche will need striker Chris Wood to start finding the net.
Burnley’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League with 46 goals has only scored once in his eight league appearances against former club Leeds and he is 7/5 to score at any time and 7/2 to grab the first goal.
