Preview and odds for Saturday’s Premier League clash

Having lifted themselves off the foot of the Premier League table, Arsenal travel north this weekend and we look at the odds to find some Burnley v Arsenal betting tips.

The Gunners got off the mark at the fourth attempt when beating Norwich 1-0 while Burnley went down 3-1 at Everton and slipped into the bottom three.

Saturday’s match, which takes place at Turf Moor, kicks off at 3pm BST.

Burnley v Arsenal match odds

Burnley are in the midst of their worst run of form at home in their history.

Winless in their last 12 league games (D6 L6), they have managed just three goals in the process.

On Monday, Sean Dyche’s side sank to a third defeat of the season despite taking the lead at Goodison Park.

They played well for the most part, having as many shots on goal (six) as Everton, but were undone by three goals in the space of six second-half minutes.

Burnley have dropped eight points from winning positions in the Premier League so far this season, more than any other side.

Indeed, the Clarets have scored first in three of their four games so far but have failed to win any of them (D1 L2).

They are 14/5 to beat Arsenal and 6/4 to score the first goal once more.

Following three successive defeats, Arsenal managed to convert one of their 30 shots on the Norwich goal to win the battle of the bottom two.

They had more shots against the Canaries than they had managed in their first three Premier League games this season combined (29).

Arsenal are 21/20 to win at Burnley while the draw is on offer at 12/5 in the Burnley v Arsenal betting tips.

Burnley v Arsenal head-to-head

After a run of 10 consecutive league defeats against Arsenal, Burnley are now unbeaten in their last three (W1 D2).

However, Arsenal have not lost on their last nine league visits to Turf Moor, winning four of them, and have not been beaten there in a top-flight match since December 1973.

Burnley have managed to score in five of the last six clashes with the Gunners and are 6/4 to strike at least once in the Burnley v Arsenal betting tips.

However, the Clarets have managed to net in just two of the last six meetings at Turf Moor and Arsenal are 12/5 to win to nil this time.

While Burnley haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven Premier League games, losing six and scoring just three goals in the process, Arsenal have been vulnerable early in games.

They have conceded more first-half goals than any other team (six) while the Clarets have scored first in three of their four games.

With that in mind, Burnley are 6/4 to score first in the Burnley v Arsenal betting tips.

Burnley v Arsenal key battles

The Gunners have won 14 of their last 16 Premier League games when going in front and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (pictured above) has had a happy knack of scoring against Burnley.

He has netted eight goals in seven appearances against Dyche’s side. He is 6/4 to score at any time and it is 2/1 Arsenal win and he gets on the scoresheet.

However, when conceding first, the Gunners have lost 15 of their last 21 league matches (W3 D3), including each of the last four.

Burnley have also thrown away eight points from a winning position this season.

Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes are capable of unlocking Arsenal’s defence.

While they are 7/4 and 3/1 to net at any stage respectively, it is 7/2 for Wood to score but Arsenal go on to win and 6/1 for Barnes to do the same.
