The Gunners manager’s odds have been slashed following defeat to Burnley

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is the new favourite to be the next Premier League manager to go.

The Spaniard’s odds have been cut to 6/4 (from 9/4) following the Gunners’ 1-0 home defeat to Burnley on Sunday, while he’s odds-on at 8/11 to leave the Emirates before the end of the season.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is next in the betting at 9/4, with his side managing just one point from their opening 12 Premier League games.

“The betting clearly suggests Mike Arteta’s days at Arsenal are numbered now,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Not only is the Spaniard the favourite in the next Premier League manager to leave, he is odds-on to not to be in charge of the Gunners for the final game of the Premier League campaign.”

Next Premier League manager to leave

Mikel Arteta 6/4

Chris Wilder 9/4

Slaven Bilic 3/1

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 6/1

Scott Parker 14/1

Steve Bruce 20/1

Roy Hodgson 22/1
