Odds and preview for tonight’s top-flight games

Manchester City and Arsenal take to the field this evening but all eyes will be on their respective opponents as the fight for survival continues.

Just three points separate Watford and Aston Villa and with two games left to play, every point matters.

But they’ll need luck on their side tonight. Watford sacked Nigel Pearson over the weekend and they take on one of Europe’s most formidable attacks at home to City.

Meanwhile, Villa host an in-form Arsenal side who followed up last week’s win over Liverpool by comfortably beating City to reach the FA Cup final.

Ahead of the action, we’ve taken a look at the key odds for tonight’s matches.

Watford v Manchester City (18:00)

The Hornets are currently in pole position in the battle to stay up, three points clear of 18th-placed Villa and with a superior goal difference. But with Arsenal to come on the final day, Watford fans will be desperately looking over their shoulders.

A miracle against City tonight would all but guarantee their safety and our traders have them at 8/1 to cause an upset at Vicarage Road. City are going at 1/3, while the draw is 21/5.

City have scored 16 goals in their last five Premier League games and they put Watford to the sword earlier this season, thrashing them 8-0 at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side to win and over 5.5 goals is 15/2, while a repeat of the reverse scoreline is 250/1.

Kevin De Bruyne

Watford will need captain Troy Deeney to continue his goalscoring form if they’re to get anything this evening. He’s scored three times in the last two games to take his season tally to nine and he’s 23/10 to net anytime or 7/1 to open the scoring.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus will continue up front in Sergio Aguero’s absence. The Brazilian has scored in each of his last three Premier League appearances and he’s 7/2 to score first tonight, as well as 6/1 to score two or more.

Aston Villa v Arsenal (20:15)

Villa will still be hopeful of survival given Watford’s tricky run-in but they still have their own job to do, with a rejuvenated West Ham to come on Sunday.

They remain the underdogs to get a result against Arsenal tonight and can be backed at 13/5 with Coral. The Gunners are enjoying some end of season form and they’re Evens to triumph at Villa Park, with the draw going at 13/5.

Arsenal edged the reverse fixture at the Emirates 3-2 back in September and over 4.5 goals tonight is 19/5, while a repeat of that scoreline is 20/1.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Arsenal

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a Villa defence with just one clean sheet in their last seven games. The Arsenal striker will want a prolific end to the campaign as he trails Jamie Vardy by three goals in the race for the Golden Boot.

The Gabon international is odds-on at 5/6 to score at Villa Park, while he’s 18/1 to net a hat-trick. Villa talisman Jack Grealish has scored goals when it’s mattered before and he’s 14/5 to notch anytime.
