Lionel Messi is now odds-on to join Manchester City after telling Barcelona he wants to leave.

The Argentina international is reportedly ready to quit the La Liga side and City are 10/11 (from 5/2) to sign him with Coral.

Inter Milan are Messi’s next likeliest destination at 3/1, while Manchester United can be backed at 6/1.

“For the first time since this saga unfolded, the betting now suggests there is a greater probability of Lionel Messi wearing a Manchester City shirt next season than remaining at Barcelona,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“City are odds-on to sign the six-time Ballon d’Or winner, a move which will see the Argentine reunite with his former boss Pep Guardiola.”
