Colombia are back to winning ways in their bid to qualify for the 2022 World Cup but now face a tough task at home to Argentina.
A three-match winless streak was ended by a 3-0 victory against Peru which lifted Colombia to sixth in the South American qualifying table but Argentina remain unbeaten in second.

Colombia’s qualification hopes had been rocked by back-to-back defeats against Uruguay (3-0) and Ecuador (6-1) but the win in Peru means they are only outside the four qualifying places on goal difference.

Argentina are 6/4 favourites after winning three and drawing two of their qualifiers to sit four points behind leaders Brazil, with another draw 2/1.
La Albiceleste had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Chile on Friday when Lionel Messi’s penalty was cancelled out by an Alexis Sanchez equaliser.
That was only the third goal Argentina have conceded in this World Cup qualifying campaign and an Argentina win to nil can be backed at 11/4.
Colombia v Argentina head-to-head
Colombia will be encouraged by their last meeting with Argentina at the 2019 Copa America when second-half goals from Roger Martinez and Duvan Zapata secured a 2-0 win.
Four of the previous seven meetings had been goalless so this could be another cagey contest and a 0-0 draw is available at 6/1.
Backing ‘no’ in the both teams to score market would have paid out in eight of the last nine meetings and is an option here at 3/4, with Colombia having failed to score in Argentina since a 2-1 defeat in a friendly in 1999.
