India head the betting to win home tournament

England are the second-favourites to retain the Cricket World Cup.

The 50-over tournament returns to India in 2023 and England are currently 3/1 to lift the trophy again.

Eoin Morgan’s side beat New Zealand in a dramatic super over in last year’s final, as Ben Stokes put in an historic performance to guide England to their first World Cup.

But they’ll face stiff competition from hosts India, who are the favourites at 7/4.

“The World T20 tournament this autumn seems likely to be postponed and England fans will already be looking towards the next 50-over World Cup in India in 2023,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

“The hosts are favourites but we make England 3/1 to retain the trophy they lifted on that glorious day last July at Lord’s and they will be leading contenders again.”
