Southgate’s men are currently the fifth-favourites

Our traders make England 10/1 to win the World Cup in 2022, with punters turning their attentions to the tournament in Qatar.

Current world champions France and five-time winners Brazil are the joint-favourites, at 6/1 to lift the trophy.

Germany and Spain are next in the betting at 7/1, followed by England at 10/1, alongside Argentina and Belgium – who currently sit at the top of the FIFA World Rankings.

“We’ve seen some interest in our outright market for who will win the 2022 World Cup and England have proved popular. We make them 10-1 shots to go all the way and our customers sense a cautious optimism that Southgate’s men can go a couple of steps further than they did in Russia back in 2018,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
