Odds and preview for Bundesliga clash

Match Odds

Bayern Munich are the slight favourites at 20/23, with hosts Borussia Dortmund going at 27/10. The draw is priced at 3/1.

The visitors won the reverse fixture 4-0 back in November and they’re 33/1 to repeat the feat this evening. Bayern and Dortmund more than 150 league goals between them this season and both teams to score in both halves is 6/1.

In terms of goalscorers, golden boot frontrunner Robert Lewandowski is 13/5 to open the scoring and 3/1 to score two or more.

Erling Braut Haaland is 6/5 to score anytime or 33/1 to score a hat-trick, while Raphael Guerreiro is 12/1 to continue his recent streak and net first.

After weeks of anticipation, the Bundesliga title race could be effectively sewn up this evening.

Bayern Munich are currently leading the way, with Borussia Dortmund hot on their heels just four points behind.

With seven games to play, five teams still have ambitions of finishing top. RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach are still in with a shout as they look to stop Bayern from landing an eighth successive title.

Yet the reigning champions will have one hand on the trophy if they can edge past tonight’s opponents. With four points separating the top two, a win will create clear breathing space and teams like Bayern don’t surrender seven point leads this close to the end of the campaign.

Hans Dieter-Flick’s side haven’t let the league’s hiatus and subsequent empty stadiums halt their momentum. A comfortable 2-0 win at Union Berlin was followed up with a thrilling 5-2 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend and they’ll harbour ambitions of repeating their convincing victory over Dortmund earlier this season.

Lewandowski has continued to prove he’s one of Europe’s most prolific strikers and his goals in recent weeks have taken him to over 40 in all competitions for the fifth consecutive season.

But Dortmund are no pushovers and they’ll fancy their chances of moving to within a point of the leaders, despite no Yellow Wall to spur them on.

Raphael Guerreiro

A 4-0 thrashing of Schalke on Bundesliga’s return saw them come back with a bang and they followed it up with a 2-0 win at Wolfsburg on Saturday.

They have threats in all areas, with Haaland and Jadon Sancho continually terrifying defences with their pace, power and goalscoring prowess.

Yet it has been Guerreiro stealing the show of late. The Portuguese bagged twice against Schalke before punishing Wolfsburg a week later and Bayern will be wary of the energy both he and Achraf Hakimi possess in the wing-back positions.

Both sides face opposition in the bottom three at the weekend so a win tonight for either could be season-defining. Victory for Bayern will all but end the title race but Dortmund could spring a surprise, setting up a tense and inevitably thrilling final few weeks.
