Belarusian Premier League preview: Can Zhodino overcome BATE Borisov to stay top?
Odds and preview for this weekend’s fixtures
We’ve reached the fifth round of fixtures in the new season of the Belarusian Premier League.
And with plenty of mouth-watering clashes this weekend, we’ve previewed the best of the action.
Friday
There are two games to get stuck into on Friday, starting with Belshini v Smolevichi at 15:30. The pair are currently the bottom two in the table, with the lower-placed hosts the slight favourites at 27/10.
Smolevichi are going at 21/10 while our traders have the draw priced at 9/5.
Then at 17:30, Soligorsk have the backing at 2/5 to claim a home win over Slutsk, despite the visitors flying high in third and just two points off top.
Slutsk won 3-2 at Isloch last weekend and are 15/2 to repeat the feat, with the draw going at 3/1.
Saturday
We’ve got four games to look forward to on Saturday, including league leaders Zhodino’s trip to BATE Borisov at 18:00.
BATE are currently seventh in the table after a slow start to the campaign but they should win comfortably at 2/5, with Zhodino priced at 13/2 to continue their fine form.
Elsewhere, Vitebsk are 21/5 to secure a surprise home win over 2/3 priced Brest, with the draw going at 9/4.
Saturday kicks off with FC Rukh Brest’s clash with FC Minsk at 12:00, with the hosts the narrow favourites at 31/20.
Meanwhile at 14:00, FK Isloch Minsk are 11/10 to edge past 12/5 opponents Slavia Mozyr.
