Our traders give insight on Australia and Belarus

Belarus and Australia are making up forthe lack of football at the moment. And it’s a similar story on Saturday as theA-League and Vysshaya League take centre stage.

Our traders have been taking a look at both in this Saturday’sfootball preview.

A-League

08:30 Western Sydney Wanderers v Sydney FC

It’shard to look past Sydney FC in this Sydney derby. The visitors are by far andaway the best team in the A-League and they currently lead the standings byseven points.

Also of note ahead of this match is that they boast the best away record in the division. They’ve won seven matches from nine on the road and have a +14 goal difference. No surprise, then that they’re even-money favourites to take all three points.

Theiropponents aren’t having it quite so good. Jean Paul de Marigny’s side are in eighthplace, although they remain only two points outside a final series play-offspot.

Whatmakes this match even more interesting, though, is that despite theircontrasting form, the Wanderers have already gotten the better of their rivalstwice this season. And those two victories are the only matches Sydney FC havelost throughout the entire campaign. They’re 23/10 to complete the hat-trickon home soil.

As for goalscorers, both sides will be spearheaded by ex-Championship forwards. Adam Le Fondre, now with Sydney FC, is 13/5 to Score First, while Simon Cox, currently of Western Sydney Wanderers, is a 7/1 shot in the same market.

Belarusian Vysshaya League

11:00 Vitebsk v Gorodeya

The BelarusianLeague has been slowly getting underway over the last few days. Vitebsk andGorodeya will be the next two sides to start their respective campaigns at11:00.

Vitebskdon’t look a very enticing proposition at 21/20, though. Theyfinished last season by losing their last four matches, while pre-season hasbrought two wins from 11.

Withno player scoring more than four goals last season, it’s easy to see how theyended the 2018-19 campaign as the league’s second-lowest scorers. 24 goals in30 games was a paltry tally.

Gorodeya,on the other hand, have won four of their final five warm-up matches ahead ofthis one. They’ll be looking towards last season’s top scorer, Arkhipov Artyom,to lead them to an opening day victory which is currently priced at 5/2.We go 2/1 about the Draw.

13:00 Isloch v Neman Grodno

Islochare the even-money favourites going into this one. They recordeda well-earned fifth place finish last term and also boasted the league’s toughesthome defence, with just nine goals conceded in 15 games. Top scorer MomoYansane has also been retained up-front.

Visitors Neman Grodno have enjoyed a decent enough pre-season, with five wins and two loses from 13 matches. They’re 27/10 to bring that form into the season proper, while there’s 21/10 about the Draw.
