Premier League tips for matchweek 17

There are yet more festive fixtures for punters to enjoy in the English top-flight, with the next round of rumbles to take place from Saturday to Monday, including a Merseyside derby and more. So, for the best Everton v Liverpool bets and top Man City v Arsenal odds, enjoy Coral’s Premier League tips for matchweek 17.

While, we’ve also got a Christmas acca cracker to recommend below too…

Chelsea to pip Palace and under 2.5 goals

The Christmas calendar has not be kind to Crystal Palace, who must face Premier League leaders Chelsea in a London derby just days after suffering defeat at the hands of Manchester United, despite digging in at Selhurst Park.

Just one victory from their last 10 attempts is piling pressure on Alan Pardew, and the Blues should be bullish having downed the Eagles in eight of their previous 10 tussles.

Antonio Conte’s crew have seen the goals dry up somewhat, but have still been robust at the back and keep getting the results with two 1-0 wins in a row, so odds of 17/5 for a Chelsea triumph but under 2.5 goals in the game are appealing.

In the video below hear Coral ambassador Alan Shearer’s thoughts on Chelsea’s title charge:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score and Man Utd beat Baggies

The wheels came off West Bromwich Albion’s rampant run with a loss to Chelsea, but three points against Swansea City will have restored some confidence.

Still, Man Utd have managed to start racking up results and are unbeaten since the beginning of November, including clocking up three consecutive victories across all competitions. Beating the Baggies won’t be as simple as it looks on paper but, with star summer signings Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic clicking as they set each other up for glory last time out, the Red Devils are a wise punt to get the result.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been heavily reliant on Ibrahimovic for goals and the big Swede should excel at The Hawthorns after striking six across as many of his last matches. So, take a tasty 2/1 price for Ibrahimovic to score anytime in a Man Utd win.

Also take a gander at what Shearer has to say on West Brom v Man Utd:

Alexis Sanchez to score in a draw

Arsenal will feel confident of going for the jugular against Manchester City, with Sergio Aguero still suspended. Pep Guardiola’s guys did manage to get back on track versus Watford however, and have plenty of other attacking talent in the tank.

The Gunners will be missing centre back Shkodran Mustafi, which level’s Aguero’s absence out, but have only dropped two PL points from their last possible 12 against Man City, having drawn two of the past four.

Alexis Sanchez hit the target in both of those last two draws, which includes the Londoners’ previous trip to the Etihad, so odds of 15/2 for the Chile star to strike again with Arsenal clinching an away point are enticing.

Divock Origi to dispatch anytime

Monday Night Football should also be fascinating this matchweek, with a Merseyside derby to look forward to.

High scoring but leaky Liverpool make the short journey to Goodison Park to face a slightly revived Everton side. We expect a feisty fray with fireworks, with an entertaining goal haul on the cards.

Of these two unpredictable teams, it is Divock Origi of the Reds who looks the most lethal forward at the moment, having hit five in as many of his last matches, after being parachuted into a leading role following Philippe Coutinho’s injury. So, 6/4 seems a fair price for the Belgian to bag anytime.

Finally, Shearer also gives us his views on the Merseyside derby:

Top PL acca up for grabs

We also have an exciting acca to recommend if punters fancy a chance of pocketing a little extra in time for Christmas.

It’s a fivefold flutter we’re highlighting this matchweek, with Chelsea (6/10*), West Ham United (8/13*), Man Utd (4/6*), Southampton (29/20*) and Tottenham (1/5*) the teams we are tipping to triumph.

If all those results are correct, customers could reap rewards of £62.70 from a £5 stake, or £12.54 from a pound punt.
