There was some big results across the sporting weekend but it wasn’t football that stole the headlines.
Heavyweight boxing illuminated a star-studded line-up of sport.

Anthony Joshua keeps rolling on
Saturday night was all about Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin. The British champ was taking on the Russian mandatory challenger but didn’t have it all his own way.
It was Povetkin who came out firing and landed punches early, with Joshua sustaining a suspected broken nose.
Joshua knocked down the 39-year-old twice in the seventh round, before referee Steve Gray stopped the fight.
Attention now turns to Joshua’s next bout in April. Deontay Wilder at 9/4 seems to be people’s choice. But a re-match with a rejuvenated Dillian Whyte is 15/8.
Tiger Woods wins…AGAIN
Tiger Woods won his first PGA Tour title in five years after his triumph at the Tour Championship in Atlanta on Sunday.
Woods had threatened to grab a victory all year after finishing second in the PGA Championship and making a succession of top six finishes.
The 42-year-old was three shots clear of the field on the final day and ended up two ahead of Billy Horschel.
After making the US team for next weekend’s Ryder Cup, Woods appears back to his irrepressible best.
Liverpool maintain 100% win record
Liverpool disposed of Southampton 3-0 on Saturday to return to the Premier League summit.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s men have Wolves to thank for keeping the Reds ahead of the pack.
The league’s new boys have impressed many in the first six weeks of the season. They’ve taken points off both Manchester United and Manchester City already.
Liverpool are 7/4 to win the league and don’t travel to Molineux until December. This could be pivotal in their chase for the title.
Team Europe win the Laver Cup
Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev were some of the stand-out names as Europe defended the Laver Cup.
Jack Sock and Nick Kyrgios defeated Gregor Dimitrov and David Goffin on Saturday.
But when American duo Sock and John Isner beat Zverev and Federer in the doubles on Sunday it was up to the European pair to win their singles.
Federer overcame Isner in three sets and then Zverev beat Kevin Anderson to seal another title.
Cleveland Browns win a game!
The ground-breaking news in the NFL came from Cleveland this weekend as the Browns ended their 635-day winless run.
To put this into perspective, Barack Obama was the president the last time the team last won a game.
The Browns came back from a 14-point deficit to beat the New York Jets 21-17 to end 19 matches without a victory.
This sparked huge celebrations across the city, with many bars giving out free beer after the dramatic-feat.
