Five great goals from Aguero on anniversary of Man City switch

On this day in 2011, Manchester City splashed out £38m on Argentina international forward Sergio Aguero, as he arrived from Atletico Madrid with a huge reputation.

Since his capturing four years ago, the Sky Blues hitman has sensationally become one of the Premier League’s most deadly strikers, having struck 107 times in 162 outings.

On the four-year anniversary of the City sharpshooter arriving in England, here are five of his best goals to date.

Chelsea 2013
Against the Blues, Aguero showed his class with this incredible effort from a tight angle, something Manuel Pellegrini will hope to see plenty of this upcoming campaign (12/5 to win title).

Petr Cech, now of Arsenal, had absolutely no chance of thwarting the Argentine’s sublime effort, as he rifled the ball straight into the top corner, completely out of reach.

Liverpool 2013
Another goal from a seemingly impossible angle, this time against Liverpool. The clinical marksman rounded former Anfield stopper Pepe Reina and slotted home from wide right in a thrilling encounter with the Reds.

Manchester United 2013
In the Manchester derby, Aguero never fails to deliver, always causing problems for City’s close rivals.

His astute approach is showcased with this sublime solo effort against the Red Devils, as he leaves the defence for dead, before blasting past a helpless David de Gea.

Bosnia & Herzegovina 2013
For his country, Aguero is just as deadly. Argentina have witnessed their star forward fire in 29 goals in 66 international outings, including this ferocious effort against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Watch the super strike from Aguero which leaves Asmir Begovic with no chance.

QPR 2012
That goal. The strike which Aguero will forever be remembered for. In the dying seconds against QPR, as the title looked to be slipping away, the Argentine frontman latched on to a loose ball and fired in the club’s most historic goal.
