Five clubs for in-demand Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez

Following reports that Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez is attracting the attention of two top-flight English clubs, Coral review five possible destinations for the Spanish forward after seeing his stock rise considerably after just over a season in the Premier League.
Manchester United
Louis van Gaal’s side have struggled for goals this season and have, as a result been linked to the Magpies attacker, though whether he is the answer to their problem remains to be seen. There is no doubt that Perez has ability, though he is more of a number 10 than an out-and-out striker and the Red Devils are well stocked in that position. However, while in Spain, he forged a reputation for being a formidable finisher and it could be this that Van Gaal wants to bring to the fore.
Tottenham
Linked to the player in the summer, when they were on the hunt for frontmen to bolster their attack, Spurs could try again in January. While Harry Kane has rediscovered his superb scoring streak from last term, boss Mauricio Pochettino may decide that Perez can be the perfect foil for the England international, and with Son Heung-Min plus Clinton N’Jie in their ranks, the Newcastle forward could make it a brilliant blend of attackers.
Liverpool
Without a doubt, Perez is a Jurgen Klopp player. His ability to operate in behind the lines suits the Reds style and once Daniel Sturridge returns to full fitness, the duo could forge a formidable partnership and significantly enhance the Reds chances of finishing in the top four this season, which they are 11/5 with Coral to do.
Southampton
This could well be viewed as a move sideways, though the Saints have shown significant ambition in recent years to want to challenge at the very top of the game. With Graziano Pelle as a focal point to the attack and Sadio Mane plus Jay Rodriguez, adding Perez could equip the club with enough guile to compete at the level they desire.
Chelsea
Certainly an interesting option, though he could be the one player who helps get the best out of Diego Costa who has struggled this season. There is no doubt about it, the Blues need a fresh approach and they could definitely afford the Magpies attacker.
