Brazilian Grand Prix tips for Sao Paulo circuit

The fate of this season’s Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship crown could be decided in Sao Paulo, with a victory for Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg in the Brazilian Grand Prix set to see him become world champion.

With everything in his own hands, the current Championship leader will be aiming to wrap up the campaign with success at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, though teammate and defending champion Lewis Hamilton can still force proceedings into the final circuit in Abu Dhabi with a win.

Hamilton would have to win in Brazil and see Rosberg finish seventh or lower to stand a chance of retaining his crown, with the latter favourite now boasting a 19-point lead in the standings.

So, ahead of Sunday’s potential dramatic penultimate race of the 2016 campaign, Coral outline five Brazilian Grand Prix tips for punters to enjoy during the action.

Rosberg to triumph and clinch crown

Having missed out on the chance to mathematically clinch his first ever world title in Mexico last time out, Rosberg will be confident of dethroning stablemate and closest rival Hamilton on Samba soil.

The German front runner has won on this track for the last two seasons and is 13/8 to make it three in a row and be crowned this year’s Championship victor.

Hamilton to record fastest lap

Rosberg may have prevailed on this circuit in the past couple of campaigns but British steerer Hamilton did manage to finish second to the German last year and also recorded the fastest lap time.

The Mercedes ace can therefore be backed at a promising 13/8 to achieve that latter feat once again by being quickest around the Sao Paulo track.

Vettel to finish on the podium

After suffering a radio meltdown in the previous outing when criticising Max Verstappen for staying in front despite sliding off track in Mexico, Sebastian Vettel will see this as a chance to revive fortunes in Brazil.

The four-time world champion was a winner on Brazilian soil in both 2010 and 2013, while the German also finished in the top three last term. So he enters at a tasty 5/4 to secure another podium place here.

Kvyat to get among the points

Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat finished among the points in last season’s Brazilian Grand Prix and was unlucky not to do so in the recent United States circuit.

With some previous form at the Sao Paulo track, back the Russian steerer to rally to a points position on his latest outing at 15/8.

Wining margin to be 5-9.999 seconds

With high stakes on the line in Brazil for both Rosberg and Hamilton, while Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo and Verstappen may also have a say on proceedings, it could be a close finish this Sunday.

Mercedes have boasted incredible pace this season and, with Rosberg looking to claim victory this time around, a winning margin of 5-9.999 seconds can be backed at a promising 11/4.
