Five Singapore Grand Prix tips
Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton once again provided a 1-2 finish this season at Monza, with the former winning and closing the gap in the Drivers’ Championship to just two points, though they may not have it all their own way at the Singapore Grand Prix.
As what happened at this Marina Bay track last year, and at another street circuit Monaco in 2016, it has the potential to conjure up a surprise or two – and with rain on the forecast too, expect some of the lesser teams this term to challenge.
Surprisingly, neither Mercedes finished on the podium last time out in Singapore, with Rosberg coming fourth and Hamilton retiring, while Sebastian Vettel won for a fourth time here.

Ricciardo to win race
Red Bull have been the only team to prevent Mercedes from keeping a perfect winning record this season, as Max Verstappen triumphed for the constructor on his debut at the Spanish GP after his promotion from Toro Rosso.
However, the Dutch teenager has been unable to get the better of teammate Daniel Ricciardo of late, with the Aussie finishing ahead of him in each of the last four races, and being on the podium in three of them.
Ricciardo has been unlucky not to win a Grand Prix this season, particularly at another street track Monaco where he was cruelly pipped by Hamilton after team errors, but now has the chance to claim his first victory since the 2014 Belgian GP.
He’s a tasty 10/3 price to do so, after just coming second at Singapore last year.
Perez to finish on the podium
Sergio Perez is another who has impressed at street circuits this season, coming third in both the European Grand Prix (Baku in Azerbaijan) and Monaco.
With shocks on the cards, as mentioned above, the Mexican can provide Force India with more crucial constructor points and come in the top three once again.
Back Guadalajara-born Perez at 16/1 to be on the podium for the eighth time in his career.
Winning margin to be 0-4.999 secs
With the race expected to be challenged by a number of teams such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, and even the likes of Force India and McLaren, it certainly has the potential to produce a close finish.
Last year saw Vettel win by just 1.478 seconds, ahead of Ricciardo, and a margin of 0-4.999 again is priced at a tasty 13/8 price.
Bottas to finish in the points
Valtteri Bottas has finished in the points in all but two of the 14 races so far this season, so it is very surprising that odds of 7/4 are available on him being in the top 10 again here.
The Finn also came fifth at Singapore last season, so snap these odds up while you can!
Hamilton to be fastest qualifier
While Hamilton and Mercedes teammate Rosberg may be challenged up top in the actual race, they should be able to top qualifying with their superior cars.
No one has ever gained more pole positions than the English champion at the Singapore GP, since it became apart of the Formula 1 calendar in 2008, as he has qualified first three times – the same as Vettel.
Hamilton, therefore, is a very tempting 6/4 shout to be fastest qualifier again.
