Chiefs eight points clear at the top
After the resumption of Rugby Union in the Gallagher Premiership last weekend, Exeter Chiefs are the odds-on 4/5 favourites to secure this season’s title.
The Chiefs romped to a 26-13 victory over Leicester Tigers in their return to action, after a five month lay-off thanks to three tries from Dave Ewers, Stuart Hogg and Luke Cowan-Dickie, before a penalty try sealed their victory.
Exeter are currently eight points clear of Bristol Bears in second, who returned to action with a narrow 16-12 win over Saracens. The Bears are third favourites at 5/1 to win the Premiership.
Sale Sharks lost ground to the leaders after a shock 16-10 defeat to Harlequins but remain second favourites at 7/2 for the title.
Elsewhere, you can find 10/1 on Northampton Saints, with Wasps a 16/1 longshot.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Professional rugby is back in England at last, after an extended break, and the season will race through to a conclusion now. Exeter will take the world of beating and they are odds-on to avenge last year’s final defeat and take the title this year.”
4/5 Exeter, 7/2 Sale, 5/1 Bristol, 10/1, Northampton, 16/1 Wasps, 25/1 Bath, 33/1 Harlequins, 40/1 Gloucester
