Europa League winner odds: United favourites ahead of quarter-finals
Published:Manchester United are the 5/4 favourites in Coral’s Europa League winner odds ahead of the quarter-finals next month.
Arsenal’s exit in the last round means United are the sole English representatives in the last eight but they are the team to beat, according to the outright betting.
United beat Real Betis in the round of 16 and will return to Seville to face Sevilla in the quarter-finals, with the first leg taking place at Old Trafford on April 13.
Perhaps crucially, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro managed to play a substantial part of the second leg against Betis without picking up bookings that would rule them out of the first leg.
Sevilla have won the competition a record six times but are having a poor season domestically and have sacked boss Jorge Sampaoli in a bid to stave off La Liga relegation.
Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Getafe left them just two points above the bottom three in a congested bottom half of the table and the club have acted in removing the former Argentina and Marseille manager.

United are firm favourites at 4/11 to win the first leg and if they can progress they will face a semi-final against either Juventus or Sporting, who beat Arsenal on penalties to reach this stage.
Juventus are third favourites at 9/2 in the Europa League winner odds and may need to win the competition to secure a Champions League place due to their points deduction in Serie A.
On the other side of the draw, Feyenoord face Roma in a repeat of last season’s Europa Conference League final while Bayer Leverkusen take on Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise.
Roma are 4/1 to go all the way and win another European trophy under Jose Mourinho, while Leverkusen are 8/1.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Manchester United have been handed a tough path to the Europa League final, but they remain hot favourites to win the trophy at the end of May.
“Roma are second best in the betting, and if the draw works out the way the betting indicates it will, Jose Mourinho could come up against his former club in that final.”
