After winning Group D with a 100% record, scoring 10 and conceding just 1, England Women now face a stern test of their Euro 2017 credentials when they take on France in Deventer this Sunday.
Mark Sampson’s Lionesses cruised through the group stages and although England have not beaten France in almost 30 years, they’re now in a better place than ever to end that record.

Shakey defence should lead to goals
France have not been that solid defensively, having conceded in their last two group games in the competition, and it’s those defensive frailties that may see them struggle against the Lionesses.

Whoever wins this Sunday evening clash is certain to become the new favourites to win Euro 2017 outright, after previous favourites Germany were shockingly knocked out by Denmark, so it’s all to play for in Deventer.
