Coral make England the seventh favourites to lift the World Cup in Russia this summer at 14/1 as Gareth Southgate named his 23-man squad this afternoon.

Brazil and Germany are the 9/2 joint favourites with France (6/1), Spain (6/1), Argentina (9/1) and Belgium (10/1) the other fancied countries.

“We now know the 23 men who will be on the plane to Russia to represent England at the World Cup. And whilst Gareth Southgate’s men aren’t the favourites by any stretch of imagination, 14/1 reflects that they do have an outside chance. The Three Lions will be hoping to make the quarter-finals at least,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

It is 9/2 that England fail to progress beyond the group stages, where they face Belgium, Panama and Tunisia.

Harry Kane is 16/1 to be the top goalscorer at the tournament with Coral, a market headed by Lionel Messi at 9/1.

Kane is 8/1 to score a hat-trick against Panama in the group stage clash with the World Cup debutants.

“We’ve seen a lot of our customers backing Harry Kane to be the top goalscorer and bagging a few against the weakest side on paper in the group could be his best route to doing just that,” added Aitkenhead.
