Enable odds-on for repeat Coral-Eclipse triumph

John Gosden-trained mare 10/11 for back-to-back wins
With the 2020 Coral-Eclipse at Sandown fast approaching, Enable remains the favourite to claim victory in the Group 1 flat race.
The six-year-old mare claimed victory by just under a length over Magical last year and has been placed as the 10/11 odds-on favourite to win back-to-back Eclipse Stakes.
Ghaiyyath is second favourite at 5/1, cut from 3/1, with stablemate and former third favourite Lord North now unlikely to line up at Sandown.
Coral’s David Stevens said: “It seems unlikely that Lord North will be among the opposition to his stablemate in the Coral-Eclipse, so Enable is now odds-on to repeat her victory of twelve months ago.”
Elsewhere, odds have been halved on Dawn Patrol for Saturday’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby. The three-year-old colt is now 10/1 for victory in the Curragh Classic, after starting the day out at 20/1. Santiago remains the 3/1 favourite.
Stevens added: “Despite still being a maiden after his opening two runs, Dawn Patrol has halved in price for this weekend’s Irish Derby, suggesting the well-bred son of Galileo will form part of the Ballydoyle challenge for Saturday’s race, and leave his recent form well behind.”
Ahead of the Investec Derby at Epsom, Highest Ground has seen his odds cut to 16/1 from 20/1 after a 2 1/2l victory in the Novices Stakes at Haydock. English King remains the 11/4 favourite, with Kameko out as the 9/2 second favourite.
