Elise Christie 6/4 to still win gold at the Winter Olympics
Published:She’s got two more events to go
British speed skater Elise Christie still has a great chance to win a gold medal in the Winter Olympics, according to Coral’s traders.
Christie crashed out of the 500m speed skating final on Tuesday but the triple world champion is 6/4 to leave South Korea with at least one gold medal.
She’ll compete in the 1500m event on Saturday and the 1000m next Tuesday. The Scot is 7/2 to triumph in each distance.
“Although Elise will be very disappointed to crash out of the 500m final, the odds suggest she still has a very good chance to walk away from the Winter Olympics with a gold medal which will make up for her recent bad luck,” said Coral’s John Hill.
