Early money for Klopp to be next Liverpool manager
Published:
Former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is now as short as 1-7 with bookmaker Coral to be the next permanent Liverpool manager after the firm saw a flurry of bets for the German since the Merseyside club relieved Brendan Rodgers of his duties yesterday. Carlo Ancelotti remains second best in the betting at 7-2, while Frank de Boer is available at 16-1.
In the next permanent Sunderland manager market, Sam Allardyce has eased out to 5-4 (from 4-7), Sean Dyche has been trimmed into 4-1 (from 6-1) but the big move is for Nigel Pearson who has gone from 9-1 into 5-1.
“If the weight of money is anything to go by, it looks like Jurgen Klopp is top of Liverpool’s list to replace Brendan Rodgers as their manager,” said Coral’s John Hill.
