Draw best bet for out of form duo
Just once in the last 10 meetings between Crystal Palace and Everton at either ground in all competitions have the home side won, with only three draws, so take tempting odds of 31/20 with Coral for the Toffees to triumph in this midweek Premier League clash.
Romelu Lukaku was the hero for Roberto Martinez’s men at Selhurst Park last season in a 1-0 victory and, having scored in each of the last three matches against the Eagles, is even-money to strike again anytime and 4/1 to net first.
Both teams have been in poor form of late, though, with Everton losing three of their previous four and Palace finally gaining their first win in 12.
A draw, as was the result in the return fixture this term, is a tempting 23/10 price, while another rare Eagles victory is 19/10.
Everton players to respond to fans’ frustration?
Everton’s fans in particular have become frustrated with their side’s performances this season, and displayed their annoyance last time out against Watford, suggesting that Martinez should move on.
With talented players such as Lukaku, John Stones, Ross Barkley, Gerard Deulofeu and Seamus Coleman on the Toffees’ books, they really should be far higher than their current Premier League position of 14th.
That is particularly as the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City, Bournemouth and Stoke City are above them, though Everton can overtake the former trio with an away victory, which would also take them above the 40-point mark.
England youngster Barkley has also been one of the shining lights for Martinez’s men this season, smashing in an impressive 12 goals, and he is 2/1 to strike anytime here. The likes of wingers Kevin Mirallas and Deulofeu are respective 2/1 and 4/1 chances in the same market.
Palace players struggling in front of goal
Palace, meanwhile, have found it more difficult in front of goal, with no players anywhere near double figures for the campaign really.
Centre back Scott Dann, who netted against Everton earlier this season, is the second-highest with five, and he is an enticing 7/1 shout.
Emmanuel Adebayor, Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie are much shorter at 2/1 apiece. Exciting attackers Wilfried Zaha (11/4) and Jason Puncheon (10/3) are more tempting shouts.
