Dortmund play Wolfsburg in DFB Pokal final as Klopp waves goodbye

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp will hope to end his reign in charge on a high, as he leads his side out against Wolfsburg in the DFB Pokal final.

They are odds-on at 5/6 with Coral to lift the trophy though, despite this, they haven’t beaten their opponents this season. Most recently, earlier in May, Die Wolfe triumphed 2-1 at home, with Daniel Caligiuri and Naldo getting on the scoresheet, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a penalty.

The Wolfsburg pair are 4/1 and 7/1 respectively to strike anytime again, with particularly the latter posing a considerable threat from set-pieces.

Aubameyang, though, is 5/4 in the anytime market and 5/1 to score first, and the forward has been in good form of late, even dispatching in the reverse match which finished in a 2-2 draw plus last time out in the 3-2 win over Werder Bremen.

However, if either team are to win, they will need an array of attacking players to be in top form and both sides have some talented prospects.

For Woflsburg, choose from attacking midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne, Andre Schurrle and lethal Dutch hitman Bas Dost.

The latter is 13/2 to open the scoring, and after 19 goals in all competitions this term Dortmund will be wary of the threat he can pose. De Bruyne, meanwhile, has had an incredible season and as such his exploits have raised the awareness of a number of Europe’s elite clubs.

A haul of 15 goals, and even more impressively 28 assists across all competitions has turned him into one of the hottest properties in football. He is 11/4 in the anytime market, while Schurrle, who only moved to the club from Chelsea, is 8/1 to break the deadlock.

Klopp will be hoping his big players can produce the goods including attacker Marco Reus, available at 7/4 in the anytime market. Shinji Kagawa will be hoping for a similar performance to the one he gave in 2012, when Dortmund beat rivals Bayern Munich 5-2 with the attacking midfielder scoring.

He is an 11/4 anytime chance, while Mats Hummels, who also dispatched in that match, is 8/1 in the same market and is likely to be closely watch from set-pieces.
