Jabbaar weighted to deliver at Doncaster
Jabbaar can exploit what looks a handy mark to land the 1m 2f handicap on this evening’s card at Doncaster (20.25).
The Owen Burrows trained gelding showed some promise in his first two starts in all-weather maidens before opening his account in game style in a 1m contest on the turf at Beverley last month.
Jabbaar made all in the hands of Paul Hanagan and dug deep when challenged inside the last to fend off the fast finishing Brorocco by 3/4 of a length despite sill showing signs of greenness.
It was a most taking effort and the runner-up was rated 74 going into the contest.
The fourth home Reaver has also come out and won since to give the form a boost and it makes an opening mark of just 74 for Jabbaar look on the lenient side.
The three-year-old also remains unexposed and open to stacks more improvement, looks sure to appreciate the step up in trip, and hails from a yard in terrific form at present.
Market has to be the Choice
Market Choice was a big eye-catcher last time out and looks decent value to land the spoils in the 6f handicap (19.25).
The Michael Dods trained gelding has just one win to his name and that came in a 6f maiden at Carlisle 12 months ago.
Market was allotted an opening mark of 82 on the back of that successes and after being highly tried in a Listed contest at Redcar on his final start of 2015 failed to shine in his first two starts this season after a 242 day break.
However, after those two quick runs in June he posted a much improved effort over 5f at Pontefract 16 days ago when a 1 1/4 length third of nine to Wild Extravagance.
The three-year-old was still last and had plenty to do a furlong from home but finished with a real flourish to be gaining hand over first at the finish.
That run suggested he was now ready to strike and off an unchanged mark of 75 Market Choice looks weighted to take all the beating now stepped back up to his ideal trip of 6f.

Peru has plenty in her favour at Newbury
Peru can take advantage of a huge drop in class to get back to winning ways in the 1m handicap on this evening’s card at Newbury (20.10).
The Hugo Palmer trained filly had some smart form as a juvenile, winning at Haydock before finishing an excellent nose runner-up to Rioca in a warm handicap at Pontefract where she had the now 101-rated Mise En Rose 1/2 a length behind in third.
That is extremely strong form in the context of this contest and suggests Peru is on a handy mark at present off 81.
Although the selection has since been well beaten in three outings, including two this season, they have all been in very competitive Listed contests.
The three-year-old now has her sights lowered considerably and drops down into class 4 company, and this represents by far the easiest task Peru has faced for some time.
Judged on her run behind Rioca the daughter of Clodovil looks potentially thrown-in at the weights, and with the yard going well this looks a nice opportunity for Peru to get back on the scoresheet.
Both Sides tough to beat
Both Sides has some very strong form to his name and looks a worthy favourite to land the 1m 2f handicap (19.10).
Trained by the in-form Andrew Balding, the gelding got off the mark at the fourth time of asking when winning a maiden at Chelmsford and has since run really well in three hot handicaps.
They include when fifth of 15 to Imperial Aviator in the valuable class 2 London Gold Cup at Newbury and an excellent third of 10 to Zamperini in a class 3 contest at Sandown earlier in the month.
Both Sides endured a nightmare passage in the latter and got badly hampered on two occasions before keeping on strongly to be beaten just two lengths.
Granted a clear passage there is little doubt in my mind that Both Sides would have won, and off just 2lb higher the son of Lawman can gain compensation now dropped into class 4 company.
