DONALD TRUMP CUT TO 2-1 TO BE IMPEACHED IN 2017

Leading bookmaker Coral has slashed its odds into 2-1 (from 7-2) that Donald Trump is impeached as the US president in 2017 following a flurry of bets over the last 48 hours. Across the Atlantic, Jeremy Corbyn has also been trimmed into 2-1 (from 5-2) to leave his position as leader of the Labour party by the end of 2017.

In what could be a reversal of fortune in 2017, Coral is offering odds of 33-1 that the newly elected president is impeached this year, Corbyn fails to hold onto power with the Labour party and the reigning Premier League champions Leicester are relegated in 2017.

“We’ve seen a flurry of bets over the last couple of days on Donald Trump being impeached as the US president before the year is out where the odds now suggest is a strong possibility,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“2016 was a great year for Donald Trump, Jeremy Corbyn and Leicester City Football Club, however, all three are facing a reversal of fortune in 2017 and punters are looking to cash in on it as they are combining the US president to be impeached with Corbyn to leave his position within the Labour party and for Leicester City to be relegated from the Premier League before the year is out,” added Hill.
