David Probert Royal Ascot Day Five blog: 'I have every reason to be excited'

Leading jockey David Probert shares another of his exclusive blog with us at Coral, this time previewing his rides at Day Five of Royal Ascot.

He won last time out at Nottingham over the minimum trip of 5f. This is a step up to 7f for him. His dam is half-sister to Holloway Bay who won this race in 2022.

There are a lot of unexposed two-year-olds in this field, as you would expect in a Chesham. David Evans’ horses are in good form at the moment, so I have every reason to be excited about this ride.

This horse has been in good form on the all-weather earlier this year. He is held in high regard at Jack Channon’s yard. They think he could be a group horse in a handicap, so I hope he can show that in the Wokingham.

We have been drawn in stall 18. The high draw has been holding up well across the week. He will have a big chance if he gets the run of the race.
