3.15 Epsom – Rathgar

I really like this horse. He is well weighted, and he brings some good course form to the table. You always need a balanced horse at Epsom, and he is exactly that. The more rain that falls ahead of this race, the better for his chances. He won over 1m6f around Goodwood last season, so stamina will not be an issue for him in testing conditions.

The draw was not kind to him last time out at Chester. He was drawn wide, and he had to get to the front early, using up a lot of energy. In the end, it was a solid run to finish a close third. This is a competitive handicap, but my horse is in the form of his life and has a big chance.

5.10 Epsom – Legal Reform

He is an older horse who is now with Michael Herrington. He has been so consistent on the all-weather, which means he has shot up the weights. If he gets a smooth run in this race, you could never rule him out. He tries his heart out, and I am expecting another good showing from him.

Oaks thoughts

I don’t have a ride in this year’s Oaks, but if I did, I’d want to be on board Desert Flower, as she looks like a special filly. She has done nothing wrong so far in her career, and she showed her class in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Racing Super Series

Ok, the one question mark is about her stamina here. However, Charlie Appleby would not be running her in this race if he was not confident about her seeing out the trip. I think her class will see her through, and she can win another British Classic.
