York 3.00 – Raja Raja
He has a lot to do based on the ratings but this step up in trip should help him find some improvement. Absurde is the obvious horse to beat from Willie Mullins’ yard. If we can run on for some place money, we will be delighted.
York 3.35 – Marchogion
I really like this horse. He has taken a while to come to himself, but it was a better effort at Newmarket last time out over this 6f distance. We had been seeing much more from him at home than we had on the track. This represents a good chance for him as I think there is more to come, even with this 7lb rise in the ratings.
York 4.10 – Stellar Sunrise
I rode this horse first time out at Goodwood. He was slow away out of the stalls. I saw him the other morning and he was a lot sharper. He visually looks better too. I am expecting a better run now he knows what it is all about. Half the field here are debutants, and it is always nice to be on board a horse with some experience behind him in a race like this.

York 5.20 – Sir Les Patterson
I won on this horse around Wolverhampton two runs back. He dominated the contest from start to finish. He was tried over 1m last season, and he was never quite getting this trip. He has bags of speed, and if he just transfers some of his form to turf, he should be winning races like this soon.
