David Fitzgerald leads Coral Racing UK Tipping Challenge
Published:The Coral Racing UK Charity Tipping Challenge got underway yesterday, and RUK presenter David Fitzgerald is now the 4-1 (from 8-1) favourite to receive the £1000 charity donation after tipping up Little China at Wolverhampton yesterday. Today, David Fitzgerald has selected Irish Girls Spirit in the 5.30 at Catterick as his tip.
Racing pundit Chris Dixon is hot on his heels at 6-1, and he has tipped up Shaunas Spirit in the 5.45 at Leicester this evening, whilst Coral PR man David Stevens and racing commentator Richard Hoiles have both selected Invoke in the 2.30 at Catterick as their tips.
“Yesterday’s tipping didn’t make for pretty reading but today the gloves are off and all fourteen tipsters are banking on backing winners in the hope of raising money for a worthy cause”, commented Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

Experts from both organisations go head-to-head over the next fortnight. Fourteen tipsters will make one selection per day, and the winner will receive a £1000 donation to the charity of his or her choice, while the runner-up will win £500 for their charity.
The tipsters’ profit will be calculated on Sunday, with the bottom seven then missing the cut leaving the remaining seven to do battle on Monday October 14. Then each day the tipster at the bottom of the table will be relegated, leaving the final two to battle it out on QIPCO British Champions Day on October 19.
