From humble beginnings to the face of Coral Bingo!
Darren Farley wasn’t always at the top. No, back in the day he was, like so many others, trying his arm on YouTube. Noticed soon after he posted, the web was quickly littered with hilarious impressions of Jamie Carragher and Stevie G — the Liverpudlian who impersonates other Liverpudlians… a niche only Farley could create.
Starting out in 2011, Farley has been on a courageous journey to the top. His videos have amassed 20 million hits overall, and while some might say that’s relatively small fry compared to the biggest and best, he’s turned those 20 million views into a full-time career.
So, what Happened after YouTube?
After Darren shot to fame, the offers for interviews came flooding in. He’s now a regular on the biggest football TV and radio shows in the UK (including guest appearances on BT Sport). Basically, everyone can’t get enough of Farley’s amazing impressions. Farley has also been head-hunted by some of the biggest sports brands including Nike, pitching him to star in TV adverts and campaigns — a meteoric rise in fame!
Bingo time at Coral!
Even with all the offers from the huge sports brands, Farley had time in 2015 to team up with us here at Coral Bingo. He starred in several TV adverts, including one where he poses as a classic bingo caller on a bus.
The first advert starring the number one impressionist aired in August 2015 and several adverts then followed this. His most popular advert is him and co-star Carly selling hot dogs and burgers to punters before a game of footy. Doubling up as a seasoned bookie, he certainly made a great face for Coral.
What’s next for Darren?
We can’t wait to see what else is in store for the football impressionist, the sky is his limit right now. His videos continue to get hit after hit, even starring the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson and Brendan Rodgers.
