Daily Acca Tips: Liverpool, Cardiff and Blackburn make it in tonight
Published:A £5 stake could return over £110
There’s not long left to go until the 2017-18 season draws to a close. And that makes tonight’s matches all the more crucial.
Liverpool are looking to grab a first-leg lead against Roma in the Champions League. There are also play-off and title issues to be settled throughout the divisions all the way down to the League Two.
The Coral News Team have taken inspiration from an elongated fixture list in tonight’s acca tips…
Liverpool – 8/15
Anfield on a European night is a daunting prospect for any visiting side. Based on Liverpool’s current home form, Roma’s task looks especially difficult.
The Reds dispatched Manchester City 3-0 at home in the last round. That result forms part of a sequence of just one home defeat in 27 matches for the Merseysiders.
Jurgen Klopp’s men should make full advantage of home comforts again tonight.
Cardiff City – 7/4
Victory for Cardiff City tonight will lift them four points above Fulham in third with just two games to play. Neil Warnock’s side have every reason to be confident.
The Bluebirds have only lost once away from home in their last nine matches. They’re efficient, ruthless and should take the spoils against an inconsistent Derby County team who have lost their last three games.
Blackburn Rovers – 4/6
Three points for Blackburn this evening will see them make an immediate return to the Championship.
The Ewood Park club are unbeaten in their last 13 matches. They’ve won nine of those and should get the job done against a Doncaster Rovers side with nothing left to play for.
Wigan Athletic – 6/10
Wigan sealed their own return to the second-tier with a convincing 4-0 success at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The Latics will be eager to end the season in style and capture the League One title for the second time in three years.
Their quest is helped by some excellent away form. Paul Cook’s side have scored four goals in both of their most recent away matches to form part of a run of five games without defeat.
Opponents Bristol Rovers have only beaten basement dwellers Bury, MK Dons and Rochdale in their last 13 matches.
Accrington Stanley – 11/10
Accrington Stanley could wrap up the League Two trophy tonight with victory at Newport County.
John Coleman’s side secured promotion last week. Finishing top of the pile would be the cherry on the cake for the Lancastrians.
You wouldn’t bet against it either. Accy have won 13 of their last 15 matches in the fourth-tier. Newport, by contrast, have won just twice in their last 16 outings.
