Tonight we see another clutch of World Cup hopeful’s step up their preparations for the tournament in Russia.
There is also a lot to play for over in Ireland. The Coral News Team takes a look at the goings on in the League of Ireland with the title-race hotting up.
France to beat Italy – 6/10
France take on Italy in a repeat of the World Cup final in 2006.
However, this time the Azzuri won’t be joining the party in Russia. France will be hoping to fine-tune an attacking line-up that’ll be the envy of every country in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Italy are rebuilding under new manager Roberto Mancini following their failure to qualify for the World Cup.
Les Bleus have won the last two fixtures between the two sides and they will be firm favourites to make it three in a row.
Turkey to beat Tunisia – 29/20
Tunisia are gearing up for their World Cup opener against England by taking on Turkey.
This is only the second time the two nations have ever faced each other. The first ended in a 0-0 draw back in 1991.
Tunisia may not have lost in their last six matches but they take on a Turkey side full of potential.
They may not have qualified for a World Cup since 2002 but they’re still a dangerous side.
The 2011 African Nations Cup winners will be experimenting with their system. So this could see Turkey take it.
Cork City to beat Waterford FC– 4/6
Over in Ireland, Cork City can go top if Dundalk fail to beat Shamrock Rovers away.
Newly promoted Waterford are back in the top flight for the first time in ten years.
They’ve had made a solid return and have beaten Cork twice this season already.
However, with the hosts battling for the title at the half-way point it’s hard to look past them. Cork are favourites to continue their three-match winning run here.
Derry City to beat Sligo Rovers – 8/15
Derry will be looking to keep the pressure on Waterford in third place.
They may have only picked up four points from their last six games but did beat Sligo 2-0 in April.
Sligo themselves have only picked up one away game all season. They also boast the worst disciplinary record with 51 yellow cards and 4 reds.
However Derry have in-form striker Aaron McEnuff looking to add to his ten goals this season. This may prove the deciding factor in this one.
