Coral ambassador rides at Newbury
Newbury
This is this horse’s first outing for Brian Meehan. He had one run last season for David O’Meara.
I don’t know much about him but hopefully he starts his season with a good showing here.
I am looking forward to riding her in this race. I have been on board Gavota and she is a very nice filly.
My horse won a Group Three last season, she won’t mind the ground being slightly on the slow side and I think she is in for a big run.
I had a really difficult decision to make between Afaak and Taqdeer. It was a flick of a coin. I am not sure if I am on the right one as Taqdeer has already had a run this season and he is sure to come on from that.
Afaak was only beaten a head by Addeybb who won the Lincoln and he has been away and had a racecourse gallop.
It really was a tough decision but hopefully Afaak will run well in what is a competitive race.
I don’t know much about this horse but I have ridden a few winners for Brian Meehan and he always seems to come up with some nice horses. I am hoping this is another one of those.
He ran very well at the back end of last year in a nice Nottingham maiden.
He should stay well and although I have not ridden him before, I can see him running a nice race.
He was third on his opening run this season therefore he is fit and working well.
He is a pound lower than when he last won so that suggests he is off a mark where he can score again.
