Corbyn now 7-2 to be next Prime Minister as gamble continues
Published:Jeremy Corbyn has been cut into 7-2 (from 6-1) with leading bookmaker Coral to be the Prime Minister on the 1st July following a huge gamble on the Labour leader in the last 48 hours with the firm. Coral has also seen a flurry of bets for there not being an overall majority next week which is now 9-2 (from 13-2).
“Jeremy Corbyn has clearly done enough to impress in the recent televised debates as they seem to have prompted a huge gamble behind the Labour leader moving into Downing Street following the General Election next week,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“When the snap General Election was announced Corbyn was a big outsider to become Prime Minister, however, following this latest support in the betting, this is now the shortest price he has ever been to lead the country,” added Hill.
