Neville to nick Vardy for Valencia?

Sunday’s morning newspapers suggest Gary Neville will recommend Valencia sign Leicester City star Jamie Vardy, meaning the former Manchester United man could cross swords with his former club just days after being appointed as manager of the Spanish giants.

The Red Devils are also said to be tracking Vardy, whose pace and poaching instincts have caused a storm in the Premier League this season, helping to fire the Foxes to the summit. Would the fast England forward be more tempted by a move to sunny Spain? Stranger things have happened though, as with the Real Madrid rumours, we’ll take this one with a pinch of salt!

Manchester United to pass on Pep Guardiola

Latest gossip also suggests Man Utd are not in the running for Bayern Munich manager Guardiola, should the ex-Barcelona boss leave the Bavarians this summer, clearing the way for local rivals Manchester City (6/4 favourites to win the Premier League) to swoop.

Instead, the Old Trafford outfit will reportedly hand current coach Louis van Gaal £200m from the coffers to splash on a shopping spree over the off-season, despite the Dutchman’s contract being set to expire in the following summer of 2017.

What, or who, will Van Gaal grab with this substantial wad of cash? One of La Liga-based superstars Gareth Bale, Neymar or Cristiano Ronaldo, claim the tabloids, as Man Utd target a marquee player.

Chelsea choose Griezmann

Speaking of superstars, Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann is the man struggling Premier League champions Chelsea (still 11/10 for a top six finish) have supposedly chosen to transform their stuttering attack.

A lack of potency saw the Blues come unstuck again, this timer against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, so the Londoners will look to spend upwards of £25m on the lethal France frontman to fix their problems.

Meanwhile, fellow English capital club Arsenal have emerged as contenders to snatch Brazilian winger Lucas Moura from PSG, and former Everton, Man Utd and Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is apparently poised for a Premier League return, with the Scot set to usurp troubled Garry Monk at Swansea City.
