Coral’s rumour reel: superstar strikers on the move

This summer promises not only to be a revolving door of managerial madness, but a window to watch for big-name attacking moves, as striker switches have sent the media into overdrive this morning.
To begin with, Atletico Madrid leading man Mario Mandzukic could already be preparing to pack his bags and head to the Premier League after just one season with the Spanish club, with Anfield his mooted destination.
Any Mandzukic move could then create a domino effect and open the door for Atleti to raid Aston Villa for Liverpool target Christian Benteke, who Diego Simeone has supposedly set his sights on as a replacement.
Meanwhile, across the continent in Serie A, Gonzalo Higuain is believed to be eyeing an escape route from Napoli, with a gaggle of Premier League giants, including Arsenal (5/1 with Coral to lift the 2015/16 Premier League) and Chelsea (13/8), ready to scramble for the poacher’s signature.
Free agent Sami Khedira, though, is set to snub England for a stint in Turin with giants Juventus, with a medical and four-year deal in the works for the midfielder as soon as today.
Elsewhere in Italy, press are reporting that relegated Hull City forward Abel Hernandez is a target for Torino, while sought-after clubmate Nikica Jelavic is also expected to be on his way out of the KC Stadium as the Tigers make cuts.
Former Manchester United loan flop Radamel Falcao will push for a return to the Premier League with a London team, as he aims to secure a permanent switch from parent club Monaco.
In more Old Trafford related rumours, another out-of-favour Red Devils dangerman, Mexico marksman Javier Hernandez, has reportedly been rejected by Real Madrid, as the Spanish giants passed up the chance to purchase ‘the little green pea’.
From Manchester to London, Crystal Palace coach Alan Pardew is also feeding the rumour mill, with speculation he will offload Eagles captain and cult hero Mile Jedinak.
The Australian will not be short of suitors though, with West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis expected to front the queue for his services, as newly promoted Bournemouth (5/4 to be relegated in 2015/16) also circle for Palace poacher Dwight Gayle.
Finally, Burnley full back Kieran Trippier could also be headed for the capital, as Tottenham are said to have beaten Liverpool to the talented defender.
