The Coral-sponsored Racing Post podcast ‘Postcast’ zeros in on the week’s football action in more detail, discussing all the fallout from the Capital One Cup, while looking ahead to the weekend’s Premier League action.

This week, Rob Watson is joined in the studio by Dan Childs, Mark Langdon and Coral’s very own John Hill as the team review all the latest odds for the hottest topics.

Capital One Cup unearthing new potential outsider?

With Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all now out of the competition, Southampton, 7/1 to win it with Coral, have been pitted against potential winners with Ronald Koeman showing he is capable of masterminding victories against the stronger teams, with Manchester City pitted as possible opponents in the final.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are, as one would expect odds-on favourites at 10/11 as the team talk up the Chilean’s strong team selections in the competition so far.

Jose favourite to go in managerial sack race

Moving onto the the next manager to go market, following their defeat to Stoke City in the Capital One Cup, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is now the favourite at 5/4 to be he next manager to leave their post.

The panel argue the possibility of whether the Liverpool match could be the deciding factor or whether Roman Abramovich could wait until the summer to review the options available to him, with Mourinho 7/4 to still be there for the Blues last match of the season.

Premier League action

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea and Liverpool feature heavily out of the weekend’s matches with the team talking about Diego Costa’s dip in form this season and whether Loic Remy can make the step up following his goal against the Potters.

Also on the agenda is the Sunday billing between Everton and Sunderland, plus the South Coast derby between Southampton and Bournemouth.
