Coral’s Premier League team of matchweek 6: Strikers at the double

We’re back with another Premier League team of the week. Coral’s football experts have assessed the performances of all players involved in top-flight action and picked an all-star XI. Without further ado, here’s who made it this week:

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris
The Spurs stopper made a string of fine saves in the north London derby despite the defence in front gifting Arsenal chance after chance. If Tottenham cannot claim Champions League football for next season, don’t be surprised if Lloris is snapped up.

Right back: Pablo Zabaleta
Argentina defender Zabaleta remains locked with Seamus Coleman in a battle for best in his position in the Premier League. He assisted two goals as Manchester City withstood a fightback at Hull City to run out 4-2 winners.

Centre back: John O’Shea
Sunderland skipper O’Shea helped his side keep a clean sheet against a strong Swansea City side. Gus Poyet needs to build on this strong defensive display by getting the Black Cats scoring, but the former Manchester United man did his part pretty well here.

Centre back: Scott Dann
Crystal Palace defender Dann made an impact in both boxes, shutting out in-form Leicester City while providing an assist for Fraizer Campbell’s opener. Neil Warnock’s magic is working.

Left back: Ryan Bertrand
Southampton loan star Bertrand has got supporters of the south coast club saying Luke who? What the Saints have got is a proven Premier League successor to teenage sensation Shaw, who made his long-awaited Manchester United debut this week. Bertrand chipped in with a goal against QPR.

Defensive midfield: Mile Jedinak
Palace and Australia skipper Jedinak held impressively in the Foxes fixture, chipping in with a goal and helping his back four keep a clean sheet. In amongst the engine room scrap that saw him outshine Esteban Cambiasso and Danny Drinkwater, this was a hugely encouraging display.

Right wing: Graham Dorrans
West Brom winger Dorrans gave his hopes of a starting spot for Scotland a big boost with this outstanding display against Burnley. He laid on both of Saido Berahino’s goals before scoring himself to wrap up a handsome 4-0 win.

Attacking midfield: Willian
Brazil star Willian chipped in with a goal and an assist as Chelsea crushed Aston Villa. He is becoming a Jose Mourinho favourite, and his form makes him overshadow compatriot Oscar and brilliant Belgium international Eden Hazard.

Left wing: David Silva
Creative force for club and country, Man City’s sensational Spaniard Silva continues to be a hugely consistent performer. He notched two more assists as the reigning Premier League champions triumphed at Hull.

Striker: Saido Berahino
A brace from Berahino, as the Baggies battered Burnley, helped Alan Irvine keep Albion’s momentum going. Being in the right place at the right time and clever movement from the Burundi-born England Under-21 international increased the clamour for a senior call-up.

Striker: Edin Dzeko
Bosnia frontman Dzeko also bagged a brace as Man City enjoyed an entertaining away day at Hull. His partnership with Aguero is key to all of Manuel Pellegrini’s hopes.
