Giant German defender and World Cup winner Mertesacker will be fired up for this fixture, and is a rock at the back on his day.

Centre back: Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham)
Another solid performer in defence, left-footed Belgium international Vertonghen will be hoping to provide as much cover cover for Lloris, alongside Federico Fazio.

Left back: Danny Rose (Tottenham)
Full back convert Rose has netted in this fixture before, guiding his team to a 2-1 win with an absolute screamer on his Tottenham league debut, that earned him the Goal of the Season award. He is 12/1 to strike again anytime.
