Coral’s boss watch: The Klopp is very much ticking for Mourinho

Next Premier League manager to leave
- Chelsea home loss to Liverpool makes Mourinho odds-on to go
- McClaren next in the market after unlucky goalless draw with Stoke
- Monk, Neil and Howe also under a bit of pressure following losses
Mourinho running out of chances
Jurgen Klopp may have only just arrived to the Premier League, but already he has piled the pressure on one of the division’s best ever managers Jose Mourinho after his Liverpool side beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese former Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto boss was already in a precarious position after a dreadful run which had seen them remain 15th in the top flight, exit the Capital One Cup and slip-up in the Champions League.
Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to the Reds on their own turf now means they are just four points above the drop zone and a massive 10 behind the top four places after 11 games.
Mourinho is now heavily odds-on at 1/3 with Coral to be the next Premier League boss to go, but has apparently been assured that his future is not in immediate danger.
No luck for McClaren
Newcastle’s Steve McClaren sits firmly next in the market at 9/2, but his price has lengthened after being even-money following the previous matchweek when his side lost to Sunderland.
The Magpies drew 0-0 at home to Stoke City on Saturday, but were desperately unlucky as they were denied all three points by keeper Jack Butland’s flurry of saves.
Norwich City’s Alex Neil could be a good shout to go next at 16/1, after his side suffered a fourth straight defeat – this time to Manchester City.
The Scot will no doubt be given more time after getting the Canaries promoted last season and losing to the current table-toppers, but faces a tough run of fixtures in the league with Swansea City (home), Chelsea (away) and Arsenal (home) coming up in November. Norwich meet Everton (home), Manchester United (away) and Tottenham (away) in December, meanwhile.
Club heroes Monk and Howe safe for now
Others that are high up on the list to go include Garry Monk (10/1) and Eddie Howe (16/1), although neither are likely to leave anytime soon.
Swansea lost 3-0 at home to Arsenal while Bournemouth went down 2-0 to south coast rivals Southampton, but both their bosses are club heroes as players as well as managers so will be given much more time.

Coral’s top tip: While Mourinho is the heavy favourite to be next PL boss to go, take a punt on Norwich’s Neil to leave instead at a tempting 16/1
